Bringing IBM VELA to Switzerland

IBM VELA was originally developed by IBM Research as an AI-first supercomputer platform designed for training and deploying foundation models at scale. PHOENIQS brought VELA to Switzerland as its first commercial deployment, making sovereign AI compute available to Swiss companies, government agencies, and research institutions.

What You Can Do With It

Why Switzerland?

Data sovereignty

Swiss data protection law (FADP) and the EU GDPR provide a strong legal framework for organizations that need to keep data under European jurisdictional control.

Operational reliability

Our facility operates tier-3 data centers with redundant power, cooling, and connectivity. It meets ISO 27001 and other compliance standards.

Sustainable power

Switzerland's electricity mix is predominantly hydroelectric and nuclear, meaning AI workloads running here have a significantly lower carbon footprint than equivalent compute in fossil-fuel-heavy grids.
